Finding my Blogging Voice

I just read a couple of articles about Blogging 101 and finding my Blogging Voice.

I'd really like to know what my blogging voice is and where it went since I'm gonna go "find" it.

Anyhow, I would like a purpose for this blog more than just a "hey this is my day today and tomorrow and now I won't write for a few months"....

I'm not sure what I should write about because I honestly don't think I'm very interesting and since this started as a way to keep long distance family updated...I don't know what to do now that we're back in Utah and my other family probably won't read any of this.

Recipes? Crafts? Music?

I dunno HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Challenge me to something and let's see if I can do it and I'll blog about the experiences (Kinda like Julie&Julia)

7 Followers!!! *Gasp*

Oh my heavens! I have 7 followers!! Bahaha!!

So tonight is the night! I am officially getting on the clinic floor tonight at school. It's kinda crazy to think that it's already been 10 weeks of "training" but I guess it has!
I'm really nervous that I'm going to get a haircut my first night, but if I do, I'll just have to pretend like I know what the heck I'm doing!

Color on the other hand, I'm super excited to do! I didn't think I would understand formulations and stuff but I actually get it! Woot go me! Now repigmentation....that's another story!

Anyways, I better head out!

I'm trying to think of things to write on here so does anyone have suggestions for days of the week things like Spiritual Sundays or anything like that?

Some Recording in the Studio...

That's right. You just read that. Stephen and I got to record a couple of demo tracks in his friend's studio!
It was so much fun and definitely an experience I'd like to create again!
I sang Gunpowder and Lead (Covering Miranda Lambert) and I must say my Southern twang came out quite a bit!

On another note..Hehe get it? Singing..notes...nevermind....
Tonight Stephen and I are going to talk about a couple of things and with important decisions comes....
drumroll please!

HOT CHOCOLATE!!

I don't know about anyone else but the best thing about this crazy weather is bundling up in tons of cute clothing and sipping on some amazing hot cocoa. I like to spruce mine up a little bit so here's a couple of tips for ya next time you have a mug!

*Try adding a mini candy cane to your cup and just let it melt in
*Don't be fulled by the "marshmallow lovers" mix...Get real marshmallows!
*Hershey's kisses, 'nuff said
*I like to add French Vanilla Coffee Mate too!!

So I think I'll go have some hot cocoa now!!! Have a great night everyone and feel free to share your tricks for hot wintery drinks!

Back In Utah!

So It's been a couple of months so I figured maybe it's time to update on the fact that WE'RE BACK IN UTAH! Not that anyone didn't already know that!

I'm so ready for christmas....

Right now Stephen is asleep and I got a nice case of insomnia. Our plans for the next few months are as follows:
1. Get ourselves out of debt (We aren't too far in so it should be relatively easy...dang that new car!)
2. Get an apartment
3. Get Sealed (March 25 baby!)
4. Endure to the end...Oh wait...that doesn't go there

Anyways, as of right now we're living in the in-laws basement and I'm sure they'd probably like to have some alone time again...so we're hoping to get out of here asap! I'm very grateful that they have been here for us though and even though I've been extremely homesick lately, mom has helped out enormously in making me feel welcome. I think I have some of the best in-laws a girl could ask for!

That's a nice little update for everyone (Since I have SOOOO many readers haha)

Fourth of July Weekend

For our weekend, we had hot dogs and cookies :)

I found this awesome 99 cent store and I got:
2 packs of buns
2 packs of hot dogs
2 pack of NESTLE Toll House cookies
---------------------
total $6!!

I was so happy! Mainly for the cookies because usually they're like 3 or 4 dollars each!

And here's a little update on a couple of other things
Sunday July 11 at 4, I'm scheduled to get my patriarchal blessing and sometime this week me and a friend from church are supposed to go to the Houston Temple to do baptisms for the dead :) :) :) :)

So life here in Houston has just hit a sunny side....
I still miss everyone in SLC but we only have one month and then WE'RE OUTTA HERE!

Oh yeah, also some more good news! The apartment lease isn't up until September but thankfully our lease is gonna be taken over by Kent!! Woot Woot!

I'm sure there's more but as of right now, that's all I can think of.....WAIT!
We don't have internet at the apartment anymore so if you can't get ahold of us through Facebook, give us a ring on the cells!
ok..
now I'm done :)

Busy Busy Bugs...

Working in the Pest Control industry is some tough work!!
It may only be crazy during the summer, but when it's crazy, it's CRAZAY!!!

I finally was able to get all caught up on my work today and actually went ASK my supervisors if there was something for me to do! *Gasp*

Last night Stephen and I went over to the Levie's apartment and they had two girls from their singles ward over which were two very awesome girls!
I didn't take as many pictures as I wanted to but I might just have a complete picture blog soon FULL of all the pics we've taken this summer :)
I really need to get better at taking pics again...I used to always have a camera in my hands!

Well I just wanted a quick little shout out, maybe a pic blog later?
FAREWELL!!!

A small recap of the last few weeks...

I'm really not the best at keeping a blog but I want to make this available for family to look at so they know what's going on in our lives so HOPEFULLY I can get better at it!

Stephen and I have been pretty busy lately with work, and for a week I was actually working full time!
I've recently received a calling in primary teaching CTR 8 with about 5-8 girls each Sunday. It's been the most interesting thing lately to try to prepare for a lesson with them. They never understand what I'm talking about and I usually feel like they're giving me the glazed look, but I sure hope I can start to get through to them. They're such a great bunch and we really have been blessed with some wonderful people in our Ward!!

I've made several friends at church and I feel I'm finally starting to get comfortable around everyone at work (just in time for us to almost be done with this place!)

We invited the missionaries over last Sunday and just had such a wonderful Sabbath!!

We've babysat Boston (Our boss's son) and he's the COOLEST kid to hang out with! He makes Stephen and I laugh so hard and we decided that when we have kids, we're gonna try Baby wise!!

Our friend Greg left to go back home, and although that felt heart wrenching, we now have the Levies to  keep us entertained!

There's probably a lot more but mainly, Stephen would die if I forgot to mention this....
WE WENT TO SEE THE KARATE KID WITH JACKIE CHAN!!

Farewell for now!

Self, please don't hate me.

Dear Self,
I know you're probably saying some not so nice words to me right now. It'll get better I promise!! Don't give up or give out just yet! When your legs no longer feel like jello, or when the pain in random places stops and stuff no longer jiggles when you walk, you'll thank me! I promise! That swimsuit that you haven't purchased yet will look amazing this summer....just don't give up!! Don't do it!! I believe in you.
                            Love,
                              Blair :]

So I've been going to the gym, but not really on a regular basis....I'm trying to get toned and eat healthier but sometimes.....other food is just so tasty!! I shall prevail though! I shall! And my smexy body will thank me later :]

One month after the vows....

So since I'm new to the blogging world (kinda) I figured I would go ahead and tell the WWW about me and my husband.

This morning we discussed things like what we'd like to become as we grow into our adult lives and what our goals are for this summer. We're here in Houston for a summer sales job and by January, we should have a nice start to our lives. We'd like to continue doing this for a few years so we can meet the goal of having our own combined art/music studio.

Stephen is an actor/musician and I'm a wannabe art nerd.

We were married on Feb.27, 2010.

Life's been an adventure for the last month, and I must say I've cried quite a bit!

I'm really inspired by Elsie Flannigan and I hope that Stephen and I can move to Missouri so we can get in on that art/music scene that is there!!
